Two KOCKS blocks for maximum flexibility and precision in GMH Group’s rolling mill.

At its Georgsmarienhütte site, the GMH Group has commissioned a state-of-the-art Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB^®) from KOCKS. By investing in this advanced technology, the renowned German steel producer is strengthening its commitment to product diversity, quality, and delivery performance. The new RSB^® 445++/4 is designed for deployment in two independent rolling lines. With this mobile rolling block, the rolling mill in Georgsmarienhütte now operates the largest and most advanced KOCKS block in Europe, further enhancing the site’s flexibility and precision in rolling processes.

Turkish steel producer Kardemir invests in KOCKS 3-roll technology

The Turkish special steel producer Kardemir Karabük Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has placed an order with Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co. KG for a Reducing & Sizing Block RSB^® 370++/4. The investment is part of a modernization project aimed at increasing reliability and product quality in the rolling of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) long products.

North American Stainless (NAS), a leading producer of Stainless Steel and Specialty Alloys, based in Ghent, Kentucky in the United States, has placed an order with KOCKS for a Reducing & Sizing Block 370++/6 in the latest 5.0 design. The investment is part of a major modernization project aimed at increasing production flexibility, enhancing product quality, and improving efficiency.
