The privately owned Chinese special steel producer manufactures various long products, including alloyed carbon steels, spring steels, ball bearing steels, gear steels, and more. The focus is on value-added SBQ products for demanding downstream industries.
The new 800,000 t/a SBQ bar mill line incorporates 21 stands in H/V arrangement, followed by the RSB® 370++/4, which has been individually tailored to the customer’s needs. The 3-roll block enables the production of straight bars in a finished diameter range from Ø 20.00 to 80.00 mm, combining dimensional precision with operational efficiency.
The scope of supply from KOCKS also included remote-controlled stand and guide adjustments, roll shop equipment, and the hardware and software for the advanced BAMICON Octopus system. This digital tool supports stand and guide preparation while enhancing the entire tooling workflow. With the first bar successfully rolled, another important reference for KOCKS 3-roll technology in China’s SBQ sector has now gone into operation.
