The 3-roll RSB® 370++/4 builds the key equipment of the modernization project of the SBQ rolling mill in Fushun City, Liaoning province. In the rolling mill designed for an annual capacity of 600,000 metric tons the KOCKS 3-roll block produces straight bars with diameters from Ø 14.0 to 92.0 mm for demanding downstream applications, ensuring the highest dimensional accuracy, superior surface quality, and maximum reliability. As the market leader for superalloys and ultra-high-strength steels in the aerospace sector, Fushun Special Steel is further expanding its dominant market position in China with the successful integration of RSB® 370++/4. The KOCKS block will unlock new potential for product quality, production flexibility, and operational consistency – decisive factors for meeting the requirements of Fushun’s demanding customer industries.
The scope of supply also included remote control for automatic stand and guide adjustment, as well as the BAMICON Octopus software and hardware to support all setup processes in the roll shop. With the RSB® 370++/4 now fully operational, Fushun is set to further strengthen its capabilities in the SBQ segment and reinforce its position as a leading supplier of highest-quality long products.
