FAC granted for ChengDe Jianlong’s KOCKS RSB® 500++/4
The established special steel producer Chengde Jianlong, has signed the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for its Reducing & Sizing Block RSB® 500++/4. This confirms the official completion of the project and the full integration of the equipment into regular production. Through KOCKS’ 3-roll technology, Chengde Jianlong can now expand its capabilities for producing large-sized specialty steel products.
Already in 2017, the special steel producer modernized its mill line with an RSB® 370++/4, achieving significant improvements. For the now completed project, Chengde Jianlong has once again relied on the KOCKS portfolio. In the greenfield mill, the RSB® 500++/4 rolls bars in the dimensional range from 60.00 to 160.00 mm onto the cooling bed.
The scope of supply included the KOCKS RSB® 500++/4, equipped with remote control for automatic stand and guide adjustments from the pulpit. In the roll shop the BAMICON Octopus software and hardware supports efficient and reproducible mill operation. Synchronized with the production plan, the tool guides the relevant setup processes from start to finish.
With FAC granted, the project is now officially completed. The strategic mill integration of the RSB® allows the production of high-quality big bar specialty steels with reliable rolling results in high-performance processes, required to serve the processing industries focused on heavy-duty applications.
