The installation of the RSB® 500++/4 marks a major milestone in Sanming’s continued commitment to quality and innovation. As one of the most prominent steel producers in the region, the government-owned company relies on cutting-edge technology to meet the rising demands of the market. With a designed capacity of 800,000 t/a, the newly built rolling mill now produces high-quality straight bars ranging from Ø 50.00 to 130.00 mm with excellent dimensional accuracy and consistent performance.
The KOCKS RSB® is positioned as a finishing block after a reversing roughing mill and 10 H/V stands. With the integration of the RSB®, Sanming further expands its product portfolio and is now ideally equipped to serve Chinese processing industries with precision SBQ products.
The scope of supply also included the innovative StarDrive design, remote control for automatic stand adjustments, and the BAMICON Octopus software and hardware – a workflow-oriented system that supports all roll shop setup processes. Installation, commissioning, and on-site training by KOCKS experts ensured a smooth and efficient project execution.
With the FAC now signed, Sanming and KOCKS celebrate the successful conclusion of a collaborative project that sets new standards for quality, efficiency, and reliability in SBQ production.
