Designed specifically for XISCO’s requirements, the block is a key investment in the company’s 560,000 t/a brand new greenfield SBQ mill, enabling the production of premium long products for demanding downstream industries. The RSB® 370++/4 – installed after 22 H/V stands – produces straight bars in a finished size range from Ø 20.00 to 90.00 mm with tight dimensional tolerances, excellent surface quality, and maximum production flexibility.
The signing of the FAC reflects the close and effective cooperation between XISCO and KOCKS during installation, commissioning, and ramp-up. With the RSB® 370++/4 now fully integrated into the rolling line, XISCO is well positioned to expand its capabilities in SBQ production and strengthen its role as a premium supplier in the special steel market.
The scope of supply from KOCKS also included roll shop equipment, automation and software solutions, as well as the remote control for automatic stand and guide adjustment. The BAMICON Octopus software and hardware supports all processes in the roll shop, ensuring smooth workflows and efficient setup procedures.
